Informationen zur Reihenausgabe: Tradition mit Zukunft: das bewährte Lehrwerk in einer Neubearbeitung Die grundlegende Neubearbeitung des "Cursus" verbindet den aktuellen Stand der Fachdidaktik und -methodik mit langjährig Bewährtem. Der Fokus der Neubearbeitung liegt auf einer systematischen Methodenschulung, Binnendifferenzierung sowie einer konsequenten und umfassenden Kompetenzorientierung. Neu: die Plateau-Lektionen. Hierin sind verschiedene Methoden-Lehrgänge zur Texterschließung, Übersetzungstechnik und Wortschatzarbeit integriert und auf Sonderseiten zusammengefasst. Dazu gibt es Kulturseiten und ein breites Übungsangebot. Das ansteigende Schwierigkeitsniveau der einzelnen Übungsaufgaben ermöglicht jederzeit ein binnendifferenziertes Arbeiten. Die Aufgaben der Übungs-Doppelseite innerhalb der Plateaulektionen begünstigen zudem explizit das selbstständige Arbeiten und die individuelle Förderung. Auf jeder Seite des Schulbuchs (ausgenommen der Übungsseiten) gibt es Hinweise auf die schwerpunktmäßig erworbenen Kompetenzen. So werden der aktuelle Lerninhalt und -fortschritt sowie die entsprechenden Kompetenzen transparent - auch für die Lernenden. Der Lektionsumfang ist um zehn Einheiten auf 40 Lektionen gestrafft. Dies stellt einerseits ein intensiveres Arbeiten an Einzelphänomenen und andererseits ein (binnen)differenziertes, an den individuellen Bedürfnissen der Schüler/innen orientiertes Arbeiten sicher. Fakultative Inhalte ermöglichen nach Bedarf einen verkürzten Durchgang. Die Neubearbeitung setzt natürlich weiterhin auf die bewährte Vielfalt der Aufgabenformate und Sozialformen. Auch die beliebte Romanhandlung um die beiden jungen Helden Flavia und Quintus, die nach langer Trennung und verschiedenen Abenteuern wieder zueinanderfinden, wurde beibehalten. Die Struktur und Konzeption der Begleitgrammatik sind vollkommen neu gestaltet.
